Online meeting Held with IMF officials

July 6, 2021- Mr. Ajmal Ahmady, the acting Governor of DAB held a video conference with International Monetary Fund. Mr. Ahmady provided insight in to the implementation and progress of the economic programs with the IMF team.

At first, senior IMF officials discussed and exchanged views about important global economic developments, particularly the devastating effects of the coronavirus outbreak on the global and Afghanistan economies, the global economic perspective, financial stability, unemployment, environmental protection, and the impact of global aid.

It’s worth mentioning that Mr. Ajmal Ahmady,  the acting Governor of DAB, discussed Afghanistan's economic issues, the tackling of the coronavirus, the latest achievements of Da Afghanistan Bank regarding the implementation of monetary policy, especially quantitative goals aimed at strengthening the macroeconomics and other variables such as inflation rate, balance of payments, economic growth and foreign exchange reserves of the country and the implementation of structural reforms in the field of financial and banking system of the country.
