DAB Supreme Council Holds its Fourth Periodic Session
January 04, 2021- Supreme Council of Da Afghanistan Bank, being the highest decision making body of the bank, held its fourth periodic session of 1399.
The session was chaired by Mr. Ajmal Ahmady, Acting Governor of Da Afghanistan Bank in the presence of all other members. The session was held online where members of the Supreme Council discussed the budget of FY 1400, the economic situation of Afghanistan, monetary policy implementation, banking system performance and supervision, financial system of the country and other administrative issues pertaining to the bank and made necessary decisions in accordance with the provisions of DAB law and the banking law.
In addition, for the first time in Da Afghanistan Bank, 36 working procedures (Tarzulamal) were approved in this session. The main purposes behind these procedures are to improve internal control and corporate governance of the Da Afghanistan Bank.
It is worth mentioning that the Supreme Council of DAB holds its sessions quarterly (four times per year) to discuss and exchange views on different policy making issues, activity planning, performance and achievements of the bank and make necessary decisions for the improvement of the DAB and financial and banking system of the country.
