Da Afghanistan Bank issued its first Islamic Banking License

April 14, 2018 Kabul – Da Afghanistan Bank issued its first Islamic Banking license under the title of the Islamic Bank of Afghanistan (IBA) with a view to develop the banking services and strengthen the financial system.

Mr. Wahidullah Nosher, the First Deputy Governor of Da Afghanistan Bank while delivering the Islamic Banking license, said that Da Afghanistan Bank with the aim of developing the banking services and providing facilities for country men is committed to expand the Islamic Banking in the country.

The First Deputy Governor of Da Afghanistan bank added that, Islamic Banking has expanded in many countries. now, it is time for the Islamic Banking to operate and expand in Afghanistan under the Islamic Laws.

Furthermore, Mr. Muhammad Qaseem Rahimi, The Second Deputy Governor of Da Afghanistan Bank said that the Islamic Banking is based on Islamic values and principles which will establish a positive change in Afghanistan, thanks to a majority of potential customers depositing their funds in these Banks in order to receive Islamic profits.

Besides the Deputy Governors of Da Afghanistan Bank, the Directors and Executive Board of the Islamic Banking were also present in the function.
