DAB First Deputy Governor Meets Deputy Governor of Uzbekistan’s Central Bank

The First Deputy Governor of Da Afghanistan Bank, Sediqullah Khalid, met with the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, Abrar Mirza Alimove, at his office to discuss strengthening bilateral banking cooperation.

During the meeting, both sides discussed expanding banking cooperation between the two countries, further strengthening banking relations, enhancing the efficiency of banking interactions in line with the growing volume of bilateral trade, promoting technical cooperation, exchanging experiences, and addressing other financial and banking matters.

Sediqullah Khalid reaffirmed DAB's commitment to broad-based cooperation in the financial and banking sectors, stating that DAB is fully prepared to deepen its cooperation with the Central Bank of Uzbekistan to promote mutual interests and further develop banking relations between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan.

Underscoring the significance of strengthening banking ties between the two countries, the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan assured that his country’s central bank remains committed to reciprocal cooperation and providing the necessary support and facilitation to expand bilateral banking interactions.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed hope that continued technical cooperation and regular bilateral meetings would further strengthen and enhance financial and banking relations between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan.
