ECO Trade and Development Bank held 91st Meeting of its Board of Directors

ECO Trade and Development Bank held the 91st meeting of its Board of Directors online on October 14, 2021. In addition to the chairman of the bank and members of the Board of Directors, the meeting was also attended by the representatives of countries such as Afghanistan, Pakistan, Turkey, Iran, Azerbaijan, and Kyrgyzstan. As per the agenda, the members of the board approved the minutes of earlier meetings and discussions were made about providing financial and credit facilities to the member countries and approval of the amendments pertaining to the regulations and policies of the said bank and important decisions were taken in this regard.

It’s worth-mentioning that this bank was established for the purpose of creating, streamlining and providing financial and credit facilities aimed at business development in the region and accelerating the economic development of the member states under the umbrella of the ECO organization. The headquarters of the organization is located at Istanbul, Turkey. Afghanistan became a member state of this organization in 2014 and regularly participates in its meetings.
